Sunshine Corner is a 5 minute stroll to the beautiful beach with the village a 10 minute walk and the world famous Company Shed a 15 minute walk. The cottage is completely self contained with underfloor heating in the conservatory opening onto sun decking and enclosed lawned garden, situated in a quiet area with off road parking. Bike hire is available on request. Beach Hut hire is available locally for your stay. Private entrance with a key safe access.

Hi we are Angie & Neil and are looking forward to welcoming you and making your stay at Sunshine Corner a very enjoyable one. Neil was born and raised on the Island of West Mersea so has a wealth of knowledge about the Island. We have 4 sons all have their own homes now, and have been blessed with 3 grandchildren ( so far!)

Mersea Island is the most easterly inhabited Island in the UK and is cut off from the Main land during certain high tides. Sunshine Cottage is close to beach, all village amenities, including pub within a mile, takeaway restaurants a 2 minute walk. Famous seafood restaurants in walking distance. Take the opportunity to try the world famous Mersea Oysters! In the village there are a variety of independent shops including coffee shops, there's also supermarkets and everything you need on one little Island! It is a great sailing centre and day fishing trips are also available along with the very popular 20 minute boat trip on the Lady Grace, or try your hand at paddle boarding and kayaking. East Mersea boasts a beautiful country park leading down to the beach which has a natural wooden large play area. The vineyard has a coffee shop and restaurant adjoined to it. We are located 15 minutes drive from Colchester and a 45 minute train journey into London.
