The Dawson family has farmed this land since 1981, cultivating wheat, barley, and caring for sheep. In 2005, we opened Thai Teak, a furniture and gift shop, followed by the Teak House coffee shop in 2008, now transformed into a unique holiday rental.
Located close to St Andrews and Dundee, guests enjoy easy access to golf courses, vibrant dining, and cultural sites like the V&A Museum. Whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or enjoy nature, Fife Country Escapes offers the perfect countryside getaway. We look forward to welcoming you to our little corner of Fife.
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Fife countryside, Fife Country Escapes offers a unique and tranquil retreat. Our first accommodation, the Teak House, is a two-bedroom haven imported from Thailand. It provides guests with a blend of exotic charm and Scottish rural serenity. With sweeping views of the surrounding farmland, it’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature at its finest.
Our story begins in 1981 when the Dawson family started farming this land. For decades, we’ve cultivated wheat and barley and cared for sheep on the property's rolling fields. In addition to our arable farming, we’ve long been home to a livery yard, a peaceful haven for horses.
In 2005, we extended our passion for craftsmanship with the opening of Thai Teak, a shop selling handpicked furniture and gifts that Roy Dawson sourced from Thailand. The Teak House was imported in 2008 and originally served as a coffee shop, offering visitors a taste of the tranquillity we enjoy daily. In 2023, we decided to transform this space into a holiday let, allowing guests to experience the charm of this unique property and the surrounding countryside.
