We've spent over a year and a half rennovating this beautiful, historic building and have put a lot of passion into the place to make it special. The Artist’s House was once the studio of renowned French watercolourist, Paul Marny. With beautiful light and generous room sizes, you can see why he chose it. Marny’s time at the house was recently recognised with a blue plaque from Scarborough Civic Society and in one of the apartments you’ll be able to see some of his works. There are four self-contained self catering apartments set within The Artist's House. Please note there are steps/stairs to access all apartments: - Access to The Maisonette (one bedroom apartment) is on the ground floor. Within the apartment there are stairs down to the kitchen and bathroom. - Access to The Garden Flat (one bedroom apartment) is on the ground floor. Within the apartment there are stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom. - Access to The Grand Bay (two bedroom apartment) is on the first floor. Internally the apartment is then on one level. - Access to The Artist’s Studio (two bedroom apartment) is on the second floor. Internally the apartment is then on one level. Please note, access to the garden is exclusive to The Garden Flat (one bedroom apartment) only. Set inside an imposing Victorian building, The Artist's House is perfectly positioned for Scarborough’s attractions and amenities. It's a short walk away from the best viewpoint of South Bay, the cliff lift down to the beach and the Italian Gardens. Plus, it's only a 10-minute walk into town and Scarborough’s shops, bars and restaurants. It truly is a wonderful area to explore!
