The Babbling Brook Country Inn is a Traditional 16th Century Inn, situated at the foot of the Quantock hills. We boast no Jukebox, TV , fruit machines or pool tables, just Excellent Food & Drink. Having won several awards for our Food you will be sure of a wonderful dining experience. With oak beams and open fires. You can choose to dine Alfresco in our beautiful Cottage garden during the warmer months or by our roaring fire when he weather is cooler. Please note public opening times for food and drink, Friday and Saturday evening from 6pm. Sunday lunches serves our award winning Carvery.
Our Ensuite Rooms will allow you to unwind to the sound of birds singing in the morning and stars shining in the evening and without street lights they are truly amazing! All rooms have their own private access from the garden.
We are situated in the beautiful Hamlet of Shurton, on the edge of the Quantock Hills, halfway between Bridgwater and Minehead just a 15 min drive from J24 on the M5 and close to Taunton. Ideally placed to visit lots of attractions, some of the closet local Golf Course are Enmore Golf Club, and Cannington. Beach fishing at Kilve & Lilstock for Bass & Cod and Burton Springs less than 1/2 mile away for fly and course fishing. Bird watching at the Bird sanctuary at Steart, on the Seven Estuary. The West Somerset Steam Railway. Clarks Village, Weston Super Mare, the list is endless!
Whilst staying you will find us welcoming and friendly and often have return guests as we find that once you have stayed once you will want to return. Our style is relaxed and informal and we like you to feel like you're in a 'home away from home'. Breakfast must be pre ordered, will be delivered to your room the night before at an additional cost.

The property is located in a quiet residential area in the Hamlett of Shurton, the pub is the only amenity in the Hamlet but please check opening times as the pub itself isi closed part week, but is less than a mile away from the Village of Stogursey where there is a shop and post office or 5 miles from Cannington. Otherwise you can travel approx 10 miles to Bridgwater or in the other direction to Minehead or Taunton all larger towns within easy access.
