Nestled in the heart of Anstruther, just steps from charming cafes, renowned chippies, independent shops, and beautiful beaches, this bright and tranquil space offers sweeping views of the harbour, the sea, and even the iconic Bass Rock in the distance.
WELCOME to The Blue Loft – a serene, thoughtfully designed double room with a private en-suite shower room. Perched at the top of a characterful 18th-century building that once served Anstruther’s seafarers, the loft has been lovingly converted into a cosy retreat full of light and calm.
The space offers privacy, peace, and inspiring views, making it perfect for a romantic escape or a quiet solo recharge. Please note: the loft does not include kitchen facilities.
ACCESS AND IMPORTANT INFO:
Guests enter through the main front door, which is shared with us (your hosts), and access the loft via a series of old, sometimes narrow stairs typical of historic buildings of this age. Inside the loft, to move between the bedroom and bathroom, guests will need to duck slightly under a low ceiling beam — all visible in the photos.
While we've taken every step to ensure the space is safe and comfortable, the layout may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Please get in touch if you have any concerns or questions before booking.
The skylights can be opened fully and we leave their use and safety entirely to your discretion and responsibility.

We are located in the heart of the Anstruther's Harbour, 5-15 min away from the other coastal villages and St Andrews, in the East Neuk of Fife. Coastal path and nearest beaches are 2-5 min walking distance.
Other things to note
Parking is available right in front of the property. Please note it’s paid from April to September, so just check the signs when you arrive. Additionally, there’s free parking available around the Waid campus (Approx. 5 min walk) and off the main Shore street.
