A beautifully renovated chalet bungalow, situated on a quiet private road in south Hayling, less than 10 minutes walk from the beach. The Bolthole offers private parking, as well as a secluded rear courtyard garden and front patio area. Downstairs the property offers a well equipped kitchen, open plan dining and living areas with underfloor heating and a bathroom with walk in shower, plus a cosy conservatory leading to the garden. The comfortable double bed is found upstairs on the carpeted mezzanine level (limited headroom due to slanted ceiling, approx 5'.5" in the centre) with space for hanging clothes and chest of draws.

Having renovated The Bolthole in 2022, we are excited to start welcoming guests to our small but beautifully formed coastal retreat! We live just a few minutes away, and will be on hand to answer queries and offer advice to guests if requested. We have lived on Hayling Island for nearly 20 years, and in the local area all our lives, so have a wealth of knowledge to share.

Although tucked away up a quiet lane, The Bolthole is just a 5 to 10 minute walk from the nearest beach, grocery store, cafes, pub, fish & chip shop and all the amenities you would expect of a seaside town. For railway enthusiasts there is also access to the Hayling Light Railway, which runs along the southern seafront to the funfair at Beachlands. The route of the old railway line has now become the Hayling Billy Coastal Path, which runs the entire length of the west coast of the island, offering 4 miles of stunning sea views. Slightly further afield, but within easy driving distance, there are historic places of interest including Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Portchester Castle and the Portsdown Hill Forts. Chichester is also nearby with its many attractions along with Goodwood and its many events. There are also beautiful and varied places to explore on foot, bike or horseback, with plenty of cafes, tearooms and restaurants to refuel on the way.
