Situated in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, The Byre @ Cow Close is a self contained guest annexe one mile from the market town of Leyburn. The comfortable bedroom has a super king bed, or an option for two singles. The shower room is situated off this bedroom.There is a double sofa bed in the living area (suitable for one adult or up to two children). This area also has a well equipped kitchen area with fridge, dishwasher, microwave with grill, and hob (no oven). WiFi is free. Plenty of pubs and places to eat locally.

I live and work in Leyburn which is a beautiful town in the Yorkshire Dales. We had some spare space at home so decided to let out part of our house as a self contained annexe so visitors can experience North Yorkshire in all its glory. We also run a caravan and campsite which is next door. The Byre @ Cow Close is a perfect location for visiting family and friends who are stopping on the site! The annexe adjoins our home but you have your own entrance. We are around most afternoons and evenings and sometimes in the daytime. Always available on the phone. Access may be via key safe.

Wensleydale is a really friendly place to visit. There is loads to see and do, beautiful walks, waterfalls and castles to explore. There are lots of Yorkshire Dales villages and market towns to check out. Plenty of hostelries and places to eat. If you’re a walker won’t be disappointed!There are numerous walks in the local vicinity especially the infamous Leyburn Shawl. Cyclists too are well catered for. The little white bus from Leyburn can take you up to Hawes and other destinations. If you want to go further afield a car would be useful. Taxis are available but we recommend prebooking. For Racing enthusiasts you can see the horses on the gallops in Middleham, or visit Catterick, Ripon, York or Thirsk Racecourse. For children (and adults) the Forbidden Corner is a must, as is one of the fantastic ice cream parlours in the area; Brymoor or Wensleydale Ice Cream.
