Rated on Tripadvisor as the number 1 place to stay in Polperro, the Cottage is a beautiful 17th Century building with a lovely terraced garden, and a private lodge with its own sun terrace tucked away at the back of the property, overlooking the cascading waterfall. It lies right in the heart of the village, but with its tucked away private garden, it allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the busier days. We can take shorter bookings through direct contact. Simon and Maz moved to the property in October 2021, having previously run a successful corporate and private event catering company in Hampshire. Simon grew up in Polperro, in The Polmary Restaurant, opposite The Cottage, which his parents ran. Maz grew up in Belgium, and moved back to England as an adult. Both are delighted to welcome you to the stunning fishing village of Polperro. We can do packed lunches by advance arrangement, which can be as fancy or plain as you'd like - but for the full gorgeous packed lunches or gourmet sharing platters we need a minimum of 72 hours notice.

An original typical Cornish fishing (and smuggling!) village, Polperro nestles snugly in a natural valley in the slate cliffs. In contrast to the cosy, higgledy-piggledy Dickensian nature of the village, the cliff walks along the South West Coast Path both to the east and west of the village offer the most stunning, rugged, picturesque view imaginable. The village is well served by a generous number of excellent pubs and highly rated restaurants.
