Local train lines can take you into Glasgow or Edinburgh for shopping trips, theatre and nightlife. Glasgow Air (25 mins) and Edinburgh Air (40 mins).

Close to the property are Drumperlier Country Park and Strathclyde Park, Time Capsule swimming pool with a wide range of water slides and also an ice skating rink, and the Summerlee Heritage Park Museum. There are plenty of retail shops within the local area as well as lots of lovely restaurants and pubs. Local train line link to Glasgow City Centre and Edinburgh City Centre. Other popular tourists spots providing lots about the history of Scotland are within driving distance such as Stirling Castle, Doune Castle, Bannockburn, Wallace Monument, The Kelpies, The Campsie Fells and many more. There is a local bus service as well as train lines to Glasgow and Edinburgh. There are excellent walking routes close by. Taxi fares are extremely reasonable.
