Family run business, 3rd generation. Established in 1926, Sammy is one of the oldest licencees in the town. So a wealth of local knowledge. The Building it self is situated in the heart of the town. And as some people say it's a bit of a tardis. It's alot bigger than it looks. Parking is available to the side and rear of the property. Private gardens are to the rear over looking the Castle Park & Ruins. The Courtyard is a sancturay from the outside world where you can enjoy a drink or bbq in lush surroundings of Mona's plants and flowers.

Situated on the Main Street, you are surrounded by the local shops and amenities. From our private gardens you can see the Derg Castle Park where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the ancient ruins as well as use the outside gym, play areas and picnic benches. The walks also take you along the Derg River bringing to the Bridge where you can then join Main Street again and walk up through the town. Local annual events include Easter Fundays, DERGFEST Music the last Weekend in July and the Traditional Apple Fair, on the last Friday October.
