公司信息
We have owned the guest house since 1993, and during this time have personally altered many areas, decorated the rooms, and upgraded en-suite bathrooms myself.
We maintain the outside area, an attractive lawn, and have renovated the brickwork.
住宿信息
The property was built in 1902, so hence Edwardian. It has retained its original character, and has a lovely entrance hall, and landing. We have an off-road car park which is entered from Victoria Road, which is the road at the back of the property, and which guests find as bonus as walking to the centre is about 12 mins, and the cathedral maybe another 5 mins walk.
周边信息
We are situated just a 15 min walk north of the city centre, and 20 mins from the cathedral and Close, where you will find two museums, and a number of houses of significant interest. Anybody interested n walking can take a walk across to Harnham via a paved path across the water meadows, and back around to the south entrance to the Cathedral Close. Along the water meadow path can be seen the view of the cathedral painted by John Constable in 1831, which is unchanged due to the important nature of the water meadows.
Just a mile north, is the protected hill site of Old Sarum, the original roman city of Sarum, and with the foundations of the original cathedral, where you can gain fantastic views both back into the city and north towards the Salisbury Plain. which is used by the Army for training.
Guests like the city centre which has retained much of it's original character, and also the Market Square, which still hosts a traditional market on Saturday's and Tuesday's.
There are five rivers, (The Bourne, Avon, Nadder, Wylye, and Ebble) which feed into and around Salisbury, joining eventually into one, the River Avon, and going down to Christchurch
