Julia and Alan look forward to welcoming you to The Elms. We like to offer a cozy "home from home" and hope that you arrive as guests and leave as friends. We really love running our B & B and meeting a wide variety of guests....... from racing drivers, photographers, mechanics, business men, bird watchers, walkers, cyclists, and holiday makers. Alan loves going to Snetterton on his track bike, and enjoys hearing about our guests racing exploits. We have back packed around the world and have some great tales to tell.

The Elms original part of the house was built in 1759, it is a cozy traditional country home. On arrival we offer a warm welcome, tea/coffee and a slice of homemade cake, There is a guest lounge for you to relax in and watch TV, We have a field of cows next door, and it is a gentle 5 minute stroll into the village.

East Harling is in the centre of East Anglia being about 45 miles from Lowestoft, Yarmouth, Cromer,and Hunstanton on the coast ,Cambridge about 50 miles and Bury St Edmunds 20 ml and the beautiful Suffolk countryside beyond. Being on the Norfolk Suffolk border we are in an ideal position for visiting Norfolk,Suffolk,and Cambridgshire with all that these counties have to offer, no matter what your interests may be. Within a 15 mile radius of us we have lots of places to visit including Snetterton motor racing circuit 3 ml, Grimes Graves Neolithic flint mines. Historic Thetford with its abbey, being the one time capital of East Anglia and possibly the birthplace of Bodica the queen of the Iceni . 10 ml,Thetford Forest covering thousands of acres starts just one mile from our door. ,Banham Zoo is a great place to spend the day 6 ml,High Lodge forest park within Thetford Forest is a must visit if you have kids, you will not be disappointed. In the village of East Harling,we have two pubs, a fish & chip shop, convenience store, a beautiful church. British whisky distillery, a tea room, and a social club/
