Rye offers many eating places including the famous Mermaid Inn, The Ship and Anchor, to mention just a few. There is a Farmers market every Wednesday morning on the Town Quay with a much larger market next to the railway station every Thursday, which is well worth a visit. Hastings, in the heart of the 1066 country offers visitor many tourist attractions such as; Hastings Fishermans Museum and shipwreck museum, Jerwood Art Gallery and the East Hill Cliff Railway to name just a few.
