The Ginger Nut is situated on a small, family farm, right on the outskirts of a beautiful village - it really has everything you could possibly want from a break away! There is private and secure parking with a stoned path leading direct to the hut (so no need for your wellies - unless you want to go walking in the woods and it's raining of course!).

Check out lots of recommended places to visit in the locality of The Ginger Nut: Derwen Garden Centre & Farm Shop, Guilsfield (1 mile) Browse through some of the beautiful gardens or visit the superb farm shop full to the brim of fantastic local produce. Gaer-Fawr Woods (3 miles) Local, circular walk which leads up to an Iron Age fort at the top. Powis Castle, Welshpool (6 miles) A mediaeval castle, fortress and grand Country house which has beautiful gardens and walks. If you're lucky you may spot a deer or two in the grounds! Coed Y Dinas, Welshpool (6 miles) Large and unique shopping centre created from old farm buildings. Whilst having a browse around all the fabulous aisles, check out Howard's Restaurant serving hot and cold food as well as Sunday Lunch. Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway, Welshpool (6 miles) A small narrow gauge railway set in a beautiful welsh valley. Run by volunteers and open on a selection of weekends throughout the year. Lakeside Golf Course, Garthmyl (10 miles) Golf course with restaurant and bar. Montgomery Castle, Montgomery (11 miles) Visit the idyllic market town of Montgomery full of independent shops & delicatessens. Ensure you make the trip to the castle too which is well worth a visit!
