The Greenhill Hotel near Wigton, is a beautiful red sandstone Georgian mansion, built in 1804 as a private residence and set in nine acres of parkland.
Now a beautiful hotel, it offers a private, peaceful setting for a few days relaxation "away from it all" or perhaps a business meeting?
We have 12 stunning guest rooms, each with its own distinct character - superior kingsize, standard doubles, twins and a single room.
The Greenhill Hotel also well known in North Cumbria as a wonderful romantic wedding location, either for a civil ceremony or the wedding reception itself or even both.
Private party celebrations can also be catered for here, large or small. Why not celebrate an engagement, wedding anniversary or birthday with us?
Or pop in for a pint, and a bite to eat. Our food never disappoints!

The Greenhill Hotel is located a couple of miles south west of Wigton at Red Dial on the A595 Carlisle to Cockermouth road.
We are close to the Lake District National Park World Heritage Site and a short drive to the Solway Coast AONB. Historic Carlisle is a short drive away and the famous Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site is within striking distance.
