The Hermitage is a 1 bedroomed self contained annex. Formally used as a glove factory in the 19th Century, the Hermitage was recently renovated to provide accommodation with a ground floor wet room, kitchen and lounge with multi fuel burner, which we will supply over load of logs per stay for. The Hermitage has Sky tv, Netflix and fast wifi.
As the main house is attached, we will be available if you have any questions.
Torrington is a lovely little market town in the centre of the countryside. It is surrounded by 365 acres of common land which is beautiful for walking. The town has small local shops as well as a pannier market, The Plough theatre and cinema, swimming pool and Dartington Crystal. The Tarka Trail cycle path is a 3 minute drive which provides over 30 miles of almost flat cycling interspersed with cafes. There is also a cycle hire. The gorgeous beach at Westward Ho! is only a 30 minute drive and Dartmoor is only a 35 minute drive.
RHS garden Rosemoor is a 3 minute drive.
Our house is situated next to the Royal Exchange public house so perfect if you fancy a local ale or delicious home made pub food.
There is a bus from Torrington that runs regularly to Bideford and Barnstaple.
