I live and work in the South Hams with my husband, dog and 3 children and have extensive knowlegde of all the wonderful things you can do in the area. Modbury is a very special town with lots of fabulous pubs, shops and amenities.

Modbury is a picturesque Georgian town situated in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and is only about 4 miles from the nearest beach. There is a good range of local shops including a butcher, grocers, chemist, delicatessen and a number of gift shops and art galleries. There is also an Indian Restaurant and takeaway, Chinese takeaway and 3 pubs serving food and drink a short walk from the property in addition to two cafes that serve food and drink during the day. Other amenities include a health centre, dentist, veterinary surgery and mobile library. There is a main bus line outside the property which runs regularly to Kingbridge and Dartmouth and Plymouth. Nearby there are fine cliff top and coastal walks, beaches and coves, with Dartmoor National Park a few miles to the North. Parking is available in a car park a short walk from the property.
