Great place to stay if wanting to access the Lake district.The Lake District can be easily reached via the M6 and Lake Ullswater is just over half an hours drive. Hadrian's Wall and Lanercost Priory and tea rooms are close by and Newcastle is within an hours drive,also with bus routes from Carlisle through to Newcastle
