We have been running our B&B since relocating to Lancashire in 2007. We’re both a little older now after 18yrs here & while we still enjoy it we have cut back to letting just 6 rooms & having a bit more time to ourselves to enjoy life & family time now we have Grandchildren. We’re originally from Brighouse West Yorkshire where David used to be a travel agent & then ran the family business Bainbridges Newsagents in the town centre with Gill helping out in between her own job as a housekeeper/cook & nanny for a local family. We decided we wanted a career change while being our own boss & chose Blackpool (because of the famous illuminations) to own & run a B&B as David is very customer focused & good at front of house while Gill has OcD in cleaning rooms & cooks an excellent quality breakfast (her pet hate on a breakfast is cheap sausages). David is football mad so if you’re into football, doesn’t matter what team he’ll talk the hind legs off you . So that's a bit about us & we'd love to welcome you into our home & get to know abit about you...

The Hornby Villa is not a party hotel/B&B. We don't accommodate Stags/Hens, Groups of Single Or Mixed Sex or late night nighclubbers as we specialise in quiet relaxing breaks in a homely environment.... We welcome Couples, Event Delegates , Dancers (inc Northern Soul Weekenders), The Solo Traveller & Families with Children 4yrs+-- Sorry but we also don’t accommodate Any Young Farmers for the Annual Young Farmers AGM. The Hornby Villa is a late victorian house awarded 4*B&B status by Visit Britain for our high standards of cleanliness / hospitality / breakfasts & the presentation of our rooms which vary in size & price. Perfectly situated at the top of Hornby Road away from the hustle & bustle of the noisy nightlife but only a short 5 min walk to the Winter Gardens..The Sealife Centre,Blackpool Tower, Central Pier,Town Centre & the Promenade also a short 5-10min Walk.

We can personally recommend a few nice restaurants in town that we’ve tried & been very happy with the food & service … There’s The Mandarin Chinese/ The Akash Indian/ The Hungarian Restaurant/ The Bank Restaurant for bistro style food / Yorkshire Fisheries (only open till 7pm tho)….or Papas Fish & Chip / restaurant. West coast rock cafe for massive burgers & Mexican & Quilligans for good value Pub grub.
