Centrally located in Heswall, The Jug and Bottle is a country-style guest house that offers modern and comfortable rooms and ample free parking. Set in secluded surroundings, it is within 25 minutes’ drive of Chester and Liverpool and has easy access to the M53 and M56 motorways. Affectionately known by locals as ‘The Jug’, the property offers en suite bedrooms with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee facilities, with views towards the Wirral Peninsula, the hills of North Wales, the Liverpool skyline and Dee Estuary. At the gastro lounge bar and restaurant, guests can enjoy a delicious homemade, locally sourced fresh menu seven days a week. The bar has a fine selection of real ales along with a delicious selection of world wines and Italian coffees. The Jug has a relaxed atmosphere and is a good base for walkers exploring the Wirral Way and Wirral Coast.

We are a friendly team at the Jug who are always here to help. As the general manager I live on site and am here most of the time to answer any questions that you may have, but when I'm not around then there is always one of the team on hand to help in any way that they can. If I'm not at work then you can quite often find me on the golf course.

The Jug & Bottle is a friendly and welcoming inn that sits in the centre of Heswall on the Wirral. Secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, the Jug is just a 5 minute walk from all of the local shops, restaurants and amenities. The Jug is also a busy yet traditional foodie pub that is a popular choice with the locals as well as visitors. The pub is within easy reach of the M53 and M56 so makes it the perfect stop if you are looking to visit the nearby cities of Liverpool or Chester. There is a free car park as well as free WIFI throughout the pub and inn. Whether you are visiting the Wirral for work or pleasure, the Jug & Bottle is the perfect stay.

Heswall is a lovely small town that has all amenities that one could need:shops, restaurants, bars, supermarket, doctors. Heswall has a bus station which has good links to most local and towns and cities including Liverpool and Chester. It also enjoys stunning views over to North Wales if you head down to lower Heswall. And you can also hop onto the Wirral Way (a 13 mile stretch of disused railway that is now a stunning walking and cycling path around the Wirral) and enjoy some fresh air in either direction heading north or south on the Wirral.
