The Linney had everything we could need and was cosy and comfortable. Location was fantastic, within reach of Dartmoor and the south coast.

The kids really liked the large back garden . There is also a large oak tree next door at least 500 years old providing thousands of habitats for insects and birds. We also counted at least 10 to 15 different types of birds. We saw a couple of...

Fantastic little cottage that was ideal for our needs, very clean and tidy with everything we needed. Ideal location for us to get to both the south and east parts of Devon. Good value and the electric fans in the bedrooms was most welcome!

2 The Linney is a converted stone barn which offers luxury accommodation to small families and couples. The barn was originally built in 1850 and is part of a rural farm comprising farmhouse and converted outbuildings, and constructed in Devon Stone and Timber. There is a large garden with terrace and verandah for dining al fresco and enjoyment of the surroundings. The garden offers many trees, views of the surrounding countryside and an area of lawn where families can play ball games. The cottage lies directly on the historic Templar way, running from Haytor down past the river Teign, to the estuary, 2 miles from the popular market town of Newton Abbot. The cottage is located on the edge of Dartmoor with its spectacular scenery, and also within a short drive of the wonderful beaches of Torbay and the "English Riviera". There is a huge number of visitor attractions in the area for families of all ages. So however long you stay you will never run out of things to do. Stover Country Park and Nature Reserve and delightful walks along the river Teign are only a few minutes walk away. All modern appliances and kitchen equipment is provided including Smart TV in Bedroom and Lounge providing freeview and streaming services. Also a blu-ray player and selection of DVDs, and unlimited free wifi. Please note that in the summer season (July and August) we only accept Saturday to Saturday bookings.
Together with my husband Jonathan, we I have been managing The Linney and providing holidays for guests since 2011, we also stay in the cottage ourselves when its not booked. We love it down there. Its ideal for escaping from our busy life at home. Many guests love it so much they visit regularly.
Rural setting. Lots of beautiful walks on your doorstep. no need to get in the car! Very quiet.
