Rod and Gerry the hosts are a retired married couple who are both helpful and friendly. Here when you need us, but we don't interfere with your stay. We are very happy to advise on local attractions or directions. Hands on should there be any small problem that we can help with. We have both lived in the area for a very long time, therefore we can advise or recommend places to visit on most areas, near and far. We are here to assist you have a comfortable stay.

The Lodge is built from Norwegian Larch with a soft natural muted colour scheme. Exceedingly well equipped to ensure a home from home feel. The lodge is both peaceful, tranquil, and laptop friendly. Double doors open to a small private terrace. Super king size bed, comfy chairs, TV. Wifi. Hurstpierpoint is a pretty Sussex Village, with shops pubs and restaurants which are just a 2 mins walk into the High Street. The South Down National Park is just a short walk from the Lodge, with many beautiful walks in the country side. There are National Trust Properties to visit together with gardens run by the RHS. Hassocks railway station is just 2 miles away with stations to Brighton, Gatwick Airport and London Victoria. There are many pretty villages and market towns to visit. Brighton offers many diverse restaurants and places to visit. There are theatres and cinemas, shops, seafront, The famous Brighton Pier. The I360 viewing column. The Dome Museum and The Royal Pavillion are but a few places to visit. The seafront has a newly refurbished promenade with restaurants shops and bars facing the sea.

The area has many pretty Sussex villages to visit, including the ancient market town of Lewes. Gardens galor. The city of Brighton offers many attractions for all ages and stages. Shops large and small, beaches and the famous pier. The beautiful Prince Regent Palace and other museums are a must to visit. The Theatre Royal, stages many pre West End plays, and there are many other theatres offering a superb programme of entertainment. Restaurants of all descriptions and many local pubs and bars. We now have a viewing pod called the i360, situated on the beach, which is a popular local attraction. Goodwood race course and Festival of Speed together with the famous Revival are quite a specatular place to visit. Glynebourne offers a season of Opera with its world famous singers. There is the Bluebell Railway with the museum of steam engines, and you may be able to see the Flying Scotsman there. Hickstead polo and international jumping course is just 15mins away. Brighton marina offers boats to hire and boat trips around the coastline. Shoreham airport has an Art Deco building with tea rooms to watch small aircraft activities. London is just 1 hour away by train.
