Our 18th Century converted threshing Barn and self catering accommodation is a stones throw from the National Trust village of Chiddingstone. Situated in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it's hard not to enjoy the countryside, rolling views, local markets and family days out. Castles a plenty and places of interest scattered around the local area what's not to like. Perfect for dog/walkers, cyclists, golfers and wedding guests we also accommodate your four legged friend. One well behaved dog is very welcome to stay but please remember to bring their own bed. The studio accommodation is a lovely relaxing space with a comfy Kingsize bed, sofa(bed), digital T.V and a blue tooth speaker. It has a breakfast bar for meals and features a fully integrated kitchen for all your home from home needs including microwave, toaster, boiling tap and wine fridge. There is a fully stocked minibar and snack box if you fancy a nibble for a small donation. A desk for those needing to catch up on some work or emails. Although we do not provide breakfast we do provide fresh bread, milk and cereal. There are also various spreads and cupboard basic so help yourselves. You will also find tea/coffee/hot chocolate. In the bathroom you will find some complimentary toiletries and towels/face cloths are provided. Check in from 3pm and checkout by 10:30am - but we do try to accommodate your needs.

Hello from The Loft Hatch. My husband and I own our own Architectural Practice so when we aren’t designing houses we love to be in the countryside either walking our energetic dog, cycling, playing with our two young (6 & 9) children in the garden or enjoying various sports like cricket, rugby and hockey. We love this area of Kent, having local family days out or simply popping into the pub to play a game of chess or two. I love all things art and dabbling in photography, the odd bit of gardening here and there and reading crime novels. I love all sorts of documentaries, cooking and a bit of furniture up cycling. My husband on the other hand is the more sporty one. We wish you a lovely stay with us and hope you find The Loft Hatch comfortable and inviting. Chiddingsone is situated in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a stunning expanse known for its pristine landscape, numerous medieval manors, farms & woodlands. We are 10 mins drive to Edenbridge, 15 mins drive to Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. The nearest train station is Cowden or Penshurst but with a direct link to London Bridge at Hildenborough. There are many local pubs, eateries and coffee shops. The Rock, The Wheatsheaf, The Greyhound, The Henry the Vlll, The Little Brown Jug and The Kentish Horse are all within a few miles from us and The Castle Inn being 10 mins walk down the lane. All the pubs serve lovely food and are really friendly. The Tulip Tree Tea Rooms in the village is a great place to relax with a delicious home made cake and when Chiddingstone Castle is open (April - October) there are tea rooms there too. With Chiddingstone Castle right on the door step, you also have Hever Castle and gardens, Penshurst Place, Bore Place, Kingdom in Penshurst and lots of National trust properties dotted around to visit. Walking, Cycling, Triathlon, Tough Mudder and Commando series events are all big in the area as well as a number of events held at Chiddingsone Castle and Hever Castle from music sessions, vintage markets, Art weeks, Car displays, Jousting Tournaments, Craft fairs, Farmers markets and many more.
