The Manor has had a number of owners since opening as a public house in 1978, it was taken over by Richard in 2021 and has undergone extensive renovations. These renovations include the addition of 2 deluxe rooms and 1 self catering hot tub suite, designed with your comfort and happiness in mind.

The Manor is a grade II listed Georgian building within its own grounds on Henknowle Estate in Bishop Auckland. The current Manor was built in the 1800’s during the reign of King George III but there has been a Manor House on that site since the 1200’s. In 1978 it first became a pub and has been a thriving community hub since.
