Our beautiful cottage is next to the Miners Arms and bounded by a stream and the river Lyd. With great views of the valley from the balcony on the first floor it also has a large patio area, accessed directly from the ground floor bedrooms, and boasts a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is level wheelchair access to ground floor - which includes bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and patio. We are pet friendly and supply bowls and towels for your pets. A comfortable, homely environment with everything needed for your stay. A good amount of space with a private patio, giving an area for a BBQ, kids play or to relax in good weather. Fresh food available at The Miners Arms if you want a break from cooking!
We took over The Miners Arms in October 2018 and have been offering our cottage since 2019. We enjoy meeting our guests, and are usually available promptly if needed.
The Forest of Dean, a popular area, known for its great walking and biking trails. We have a steam railway with a station (Whitecroft) next to the property that will take you to the nearest town of Lydney and to other villages. The stop is about a minute or two walk from the property and runs at least 3 days most weeks - sometimes more! Local buses are available as well. Timetables for these change, but can be found easily online. Biking hire is available nearby and there are great trails throughout the Forest with amazing views. PuzzleWood and GoApe are a short drive.
