The Mistal is our newly converted 2 bedroomed (sleeps 4) detached dwelling. Situated in the grounds of our garden it is a unique and comfortable place in which you can relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beautiful countryside in modern and comfortable surroundings. A large living room provides a great place for socialising with family or friends with a wood burning stove, large TV, books and board games. The dining table has plenty of room for lazy breakfasts, lingering lunches or an intimate dinner. French doors open onto the garden area where there is a picnic table and bbq for sunny days. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, oven and induction hob. The well appointed bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Two king size bedrooms offer comfortable beds, large mirrors, hairdryers, bathrobes and tv’s and plenty of storage. One bed can be divided into two singles if needed. Central heating throughout. A utility room with freezer and washing machine provides a space for coats and muddy boots if you have been out exploring. Parking is available for two cars adjacent to the property. Leyburn is within walking distance (1 mile) across a field footpath and has all the usual amenities of a market town.

I live and work in Leyburn which is a beautiful town in the Yorkshire Dales. We have renovated one of our outbuildings into a luxury detached holiday home for visitors to experience North Yorkshire in all its glory. We also run a caravan and campsite which is next door. The Mistal @ Cow Close is a perfect location for visiting family and friends who are stopping on the site! Wensleydale is a really friendly place to visit. There is loads to see and do, beautiful walks, waterfalls and castles to explore. There are lots of Yorkshire Dales villages and market towns to check out. Plenty of hostelries and places to eat. For those keen on racing, it is possible towatch the horses on the gallops in Middleham, or visit nearby racecourses of Catterick, Ripon, Thirsk or York. For Children (and adults) the Forbidden Corner is a must do, along with our local ice cream parlours Brymoor and Wensledale Ice Cream.
