Inside you'll find a spacious kitchen diner leading onto a west facing garden, a newly refreshed sitting room, and a shower & drying room. Upstairs you'll find your bedroom and a further bathroom - with bath!

Morebattle is a quaint little village nestled between the Abbey towns of Jedburgh (8 miles) and Kelso (6 miles), and a sharp bend of Kale Water - which flows into the Teviot just to the west. The name Morebattle finds its origins from the Anglo-Saxon "mere-bodl" meaning "the house by the lake". The lake in question lay in the river valley to the north of today's Morebattle, and was drained in the 1800s. The Borders are renowned for their walks, trails, and scenery - and Morebattle provides the perfect base to explore. St Cuthberts Way, the long distance footpath, passes through the village on its way to Lindisfarne from Melrose; and the Pennine Way ends only 3 miles away in the small village of Kirk Yetholm. The Borders are also full of activities; fishing on Tweed and Teviot, Go Ape in Peebles, and Harestaines country park!
