The owners have restored the Old Forge making a fantastic tea room and this little cottage tucked around the corner, you wouldn’t know it was there. A great base to visit the east coast, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds. Sewerby village is home to the wonderful Sewerby Hall, perched on the cliff tops in a spectacular setting and is open to the public. It boasts over 50 acres of well tendered gardens and walkways, a zoo and plenty of events held here throughout the year. Bridlington is the nearest large resort and that’s just a mile along the headland. Still a very busy working harbour as well a great resort with two large sandy beaches as well as lots of restaurants, bars and of course the Spa, home to many international acts who perform here. The resorts of Flamborough Head, Filey and Scarborough lie to the north and the RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive.
