I look forward to welcoming you to The Old Post House. This building is the original Post House of Banavie which dates back to the early 1900s. This is where the people travelling with urgent telegrams through out the west cost of Scotland would stop for a rest or to swap horses before embarking on the rest of their journey. With a beautiful renovation it is now all set to welcome you to a very cosy, relaxing base for you to enjoy Fort William and the surrounding area. We have free private parking, unrestricted views of Ben Nevis, Glen Nevis and surrounding hills. 4 Min walk from Train Station, 3 min walk from bus stop for local travel. 4 min walk to the world famous Neptune's Staircase on the Caledonian Canal. Restaurants close by within walking distance. Private decking to enjoy the stunning scenery.
Having spent the last 22 years being a full time carer for a family member I am now looking forward to a new venture in the self catering industry. We have lived here for 11 years but have only just opened The Old Post House to welcome guests. We live in such a beautiful part of Fort William it is a shame not to share it with you all. The views speak for themselves but we are based in a perfect location to enjoy so much that Fort William has to offer. If you are in need of anything while you are here then you can contact me on the phone or just knock on the main house door and I will be more that happy to help. We are looking forward to welcoming you and making sure you have the best holiday.
We live on a very quiet street. The neighbours are lovely and friendly ( but not overly friendly thankfully) We are very well positioned with great transport links just a stones throw from the house. There is also a hotel and local Pub a very short walk from the house ( no more than 5 mins) There is also a grocery store a mile from the house in both directions.
We have a train station just across the road, maybe a 4 min walk. There is also a bus stop on the main road just a 3 min walk away with buses passing every half hour heading into Fort William town centre.
