The popular market towns of Helmsley and Pickering, home to the famous North York Moors heritage railway, are also within easy distance.

They offer fantastic beaches, great walking, quirky shops and many places to eat, as well as fascinating heritage attractions. The historic city of York is also less than an hour by car, with many visitor attractions, museums, galleries, a fantastic Christmas market, dozens of eateries and, of course, the largest gothic cathedral in Europe.
