The Old Smiddy was built in 1862 and used to be used as a Blacksmiths until the 1960's when it was converted into a house. Where the cottage is built there used to be a wooden building with a trap door where the cart wheels were fired up and thrown into the burn to cool down.
I have lived in Loch Lomond for 31 years and love the feel of being on the outskirts of village of Balloch
We are very central here in Balloch for walking within the beautiful Loch Lomond |National Park. Within walking distance is Loch Lomond Shores where you can sail, cycle, segway and do many water sports. Horseriding and fishing also. Bus stop at door if you come without a car can take you to Stirling, east side of Loch Lomond and Glasgow
