Andrew is an architect and wanted to design one of the largest and most relaxing en-suite jacuzzi bedrooms in the Lakes. Virgine speaks French and Spanish as well as English and decorates the room with scented candles, soft lights, dried and full bloom flowers. Andrew & Virgine love the spa facilities at the Cascades and are pleased to include this wonderful experience to all guests. As hosts our only house rules are to relax and enjoy the room, the spa and the lakes. We provide maps, guides and walking books and are happy to share our favourite walks, pubs, restaurants and swimming holes with you.
The tranquility of the countryside next to the buzz of the village. Beresford Road is peaceful and very quiet with free on street parking and a restaurant on the corner. On the edge of the village conservation area the street is a 5 minute downhill walk to the lakeshore where you pass all the bars, pubs, cafes, tea shops and restaurants on offer. Surrounded by fabulous walks to Post Knott and Windermere village, The Penthouse is an ideal location to explore Bowness and Windermere on foot and the wider Lakes by car.
