Our beautiful and newly refurbished (2023) cottage is right in the heart of Bakewell, Derbyshire. The location could not be more convenient - it's a minute walk into the centre where you will find excellent pubs, restaurants, cafes and independent shops. We now also include free on-street parking. The Pudding Stop sleeps 2 guests (babies and dogs welcome too!) and is available for short breaks and week stays. This little hideaway is set within the garden of our 1830’s Grade II listed property.

The Pudding Stop is situated on Castle Street - a picturesque cul-de-sac right in the centre of Bakewell. Walk to the end of the road and you will find the stone arch Bakewell Bridge (grade I listed) crossing the River Wye and Lime Lounge Cafe to grab a quick coffee. Lovage by Lee Smith provides a fine dining option less than a minute walk away or head to the The Queens Arms or Thornbridge Brewery Tap House for a beer or two! Bakewell is a lovely market town with everything you might need but walk 5 minutes in any direction you are out into beautiful open countryside. Everything you may require is within walking distance of The Pudding Stop including shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes, ATM machine and post office. Bakewell is centrally located within the Peak District and is the perfect base to explore attractions such as the Monsal Trail (5 minutes walk), Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall (both 5 minutes drive). Further afield you can find gems like Winnat's Pass, Mam Tor, Castleton, Hathersage, Edale, Ladybower Reservoir to name but a few, all within 30 minutes drive. Free on-street parking is included with your stay.
