The Red Lion was bought by Gavin and Catherine Mills in 2015, at this time they went under a major internal refurbishment so they could offer the people of Wellingore and the surrounding area a modern country pub with traditional environment. We continually strive to change, adapt and improve all areas of the business and we are lucky to have a great team of staff that will help make your visit a pleasure!

The Little Lion Inn is situated above the family-run Red Lion pub. Renowned for serving fine ales and a family friendly atmosphere, the Little Lion Inn is perfectly situated for all those looking for a home away from home. Wild Cat Pizza & Kitchen is located in the The Red Lion beer garden, just down the stairs from your room. Serving traditional stone-baked Italian thin crust pizzas, stretched by hand and prepared with a variety of delicious toppings. Also serving burgers, a wide variety of side dishes, deserts and drinks. With the accessibility, we are also happy to deliver food straight to your room. We currently only offer a continental breakfast, but we recommend a lovely local cafe that is within a mile from the pub. Wellingore is an attractive village with many of the older houses built in the local limestone. Wellingore was the first village in North Kesteven to be designated a Conservation Area in February 1971. It is situated approximately 11 miles from historic Lincoln City and forms a great base to explore the many nearby attractions and beautiful Lincolnshire countryside.
