Lucille bought the Penthouse from new in March 2021 and wants to offer visitors to the village of Haworth a unique and luxurious experience. Haworth bars and restaurants and shops are all within a short walking distance from the Penthouse. Haworth Main Street is a short 10-minute walk from the apartment. The cobbled Main Street is thriving with antiques and collectables and there’s a host of public houses and also plenty of tea rooms and small restaurants serving great quality food and drink. At the bottom of main street is the beautiful nine-acre park. At the top of the Main Street is the famous Brontë Parsonage Museum which was once the home of the Brontë family. The Bronte’s were a nineteenth-century literary family who lived in the village. The Brontë Parsonage Museum, welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Adjacent to the parsonage is the church where Patrick Brontë was minister for 41 years. Here you can go in to visit the Brontë family tomb. If you want to get your walking boots on take a trip to the Bronte Waterfalls which is approximately 2 ¾ miles long. If you fancy a longer walk then take the Bronte Way a 43-mile trail that winds its way through moors and valleys. Haworth has a stop on the Worth Valley steam railway line, serving the villages and mills of the Worth Valley from the 1880s. The railway has cultural links as the beautiful Oakworth Station appeared in the 1970 children’s classic, The Railway Children. Just 4 miles away in the nearby town of Keighley is the Cliffe Castle history museum, set in the luxurious home of Victorian millionaire, textile manufacturer Henry Isaac Butterfield. 5 miles away is East Riddlesden Hall, a manor house with parkland meadows sinking to the river. The hall dates to 1642 when it was extended by an affluent clothier.
