A large spacious cosy semi-detached cottage in a beautiful rural setting in North Yorkshire, with a paddock to walk your dog. Situated in a peaceful setting on a hill with good views it is conveniently close to the Yorkshire Dales and handy for the main routes of the A66 Pennine Way and A1 Scotch Corner, and within easy driving distance of many popular attractions and locations. There is an excellent choice of local pubs nearby as well as locally respected farm shops offering local produce.

You’ll hardly see us during your stay as we are busy working or tending to our animals. We are on hand though if you need eggs, firewood, and or require directions.

It is a perfect base for walkers, ramblers and cyclists with many established public footpaths, riverside walks, cycle paths and bridleways that lead through some of the most unspoilt countryside that Yorkshire and County Durham has to offer. The historic and picturesque market town of Barnard Castle can be easily reached within a short drive and offers guests the opportunity to explore the popular Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle and Raby Castle, as well as the weekly farmer’s market and quaint high street. The Georgian market town of Richmond is just 5 miles away in the opposite direction, and once again, is a great location for guests wanting to visit the castle, theatre, market place and also indulge in one of the many traditional tea shops and bakeries there. Parking is right outside the house, you can go for lovely walks right on the doorstep, locals pubs are half a mile to a mile away.
