This modern, roomy, detached cottage is all on one floor. It is equally suited to friends, younger couples who want a base for adventures or older couples who are looking for comfort and ease of getting around. With only a small step to get into the property and parking right outside this suits those who suffer with limited mobility. There is also a fenced garden outside. With beautiful, high quality decoration and attention to detail, It is well equipped with a modern kitchen (electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine) and large shower room with and over-sized showerhead, a large bedroom (Egyptian cotton linen) and plenty of living space. It is very comfortably furnished and there are books and games for cosy nights in. Information, guide books and maps are provided to help you plan your stay. There is electric heating for chilly nights. A lot of attention has been paid to the smallest of details and there are lots of 'extras' to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The large bedroom contains a king sized and a single bed with good quality mattresess. There is plenty of storage space with a wardrobe and chest of drawers and has been decorated beautifully. It lends itself perfectly to a romantic night or two away. Situated on a rural farm, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you're surrounded by our fields which have stunning views in every direction. You can walk from the property to access footpaths leading through the countryside and down to the coast. The stunning, local, dog-friendly beach begins in the village of Torcross and runs for 2 miles to Strete Gate. It is a 7-10 minute drive away and also boasts 2 excellent beachside pubs. The local town of Kingsbridge is 4 miles away where there are 2 supermarkets, a petrol station and a lovely high street. Dartmoor National Park is within a 30-40 minute drive away. We also have gloriously dark night skies, which are very much cherished and sought after.

I live with my husband and 11 yr old son on our farm in South Devon where my husband runs his own fencing business. I have a menagerie of animals including horses, dogs, cats and chickens. I love nothing more than exploring the countryside on a summer evening from horseback, with my three dogs in tow. We also spend a lot of time on the beach during the summer and winter time. I have lived in the area all my life so am always happy to recommend places to you. I live next door so am on hand day or night, should you need any help or assistance. We are making a real effort to try and become more environmentally friendly. We have installed solar panels and all our lighting will be changed to LED in the Summer of 2019. In the near future we are also going to explore the use of renewables for heating. We try to use environmentally friendly products where possible and recycle where we can.

We are only a couple of miles from the beach and Start Bay and being in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and situated on top of the rolling Devon hills, you have fantastic views of the sea and Slapton Ley at nearby Torcross from our fields. Sunsets are fabulous here and there is lots of wildlife. You are more likely to hear an owl through the night than a car. If you take a stroll around our fields you will get an amazing panoramic view reaching as far as Salcombe and Prawle Point. Our skies at night are dark and photographers have loved getting outside for stunning night time pictures. There are a wealth of beaches all a short drive away (7 mins drive is the nearest) and nearby Dartmoor about half an hour by car. There are plenty of excellent pubs nearby for eating and drinking and the town of Kingsbridge can offer a wide variety of dining experiences as well as take-away deliveries. There are footpaths running through the property and quiet rural roads for walking / cycling. If farms are your thing there are horses on the property as well as an array of cats, a few dogs and chickens, as well as sheep and cattle in the fields at certain times of the year.
