We are a Traditional (Destination Style) English Pub offering a high class food and drink in a unique building which has both thatched and tiled roofing. We like to support our local community which is the Parish of Stanton St John, we like to offer a friendly service and always enjoy making new friends.

Property information

Idyllic thatched country Pub set in the leafy village of Stanton St John. A stones throw from the University City of Oxford, Bicester Village Shopping Center and Blenheim Palace. Offering Boutique style Accomadation all within en suite double bedrooms the rooms are located along side the courtyard and is all at ground level. Children are welcome The Pub its self has Disability Toilets and four unique customer areas, we are dog friendly but respectfully request that your animals are kept on a leash while in the public areas, dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

Nestled in the leafy village of Stanton St. John, The Talkhouse is a delightful historic thatched public house and bed and breakfast. Stanton St John is just one of Oxfordshire's idyllic villages close to Stanton Great Wood and within a stones throw of the 12th century Norman Church, St John the Baptist. With two of Oxfordshires leading golf courses on the door step there is plenty to see and do whatever your interests may be.
