Ballymena is an old town situated between the more modern Ballymoney and the thriving city of Belfast. The town was established in the 17th century, and it has maintained its tradition of holding weekly Saturday markets, which attract a wide variety of merchants from the surrounding area. Walks along the Braid River and through People's Park are also popular activities for tourists.
