Under new management from July 2021 the Water's Edge aims to provide the discerning traveller with a relaxing, comfortable and memorable experience. Set in extensive grounds with riverside frontage this boutique guest house sits in a truly scenic environment. Whether it’s relaxing by the Avon, watching the wildlife or absorbing the tranquility of the surroundings your hosts aim to make your visit one to fondly recall. It is a twenty minute walk into town; alternatively there is a river taxi that runs either from the grounds or a nearby location between April and October that offers a scenic alternative. Either way you will soon be in Stratford-upon-Avon with its many cultural, historical and tourist attractions. Lots of decent pubs and restaurants as well. Breakfast is taken in the dining room; your hosts aim to provide traditional cuisine with some imaginative flair using the highest quality fresh, local ingredients. Let us know your dietary quirks; we love a challenge! Our rooms are all en-suite and beautifully appointed with colour matched themes including Twilight Black Savannah Green Purple Haze Ocean Breeze Blue Mocca Heaven Rooms are well appointed with high quality fittings and include tea and coffee-making facilities along with complimentary biscuits; a drinks fridge, toiletries and even a toothbrush for our more forgetful guests!

Ana and André took over the business in July 2021 and have significantly improved the guest experience - at least as measured by the reviews received since then. With no experience of the hospitality business and having no intention of ever entering it we now find ourselves fully immersed in this novel experience. It is fascinating to engage with our guests and understand what a diverse bunch of people inhabit this planet. With an abiding interest in food and flavours we are always on the lookout for new gastronomic ideas and avenues. Perhaps the oddest request to date was scrambled eggs with olives. That's really approaching the ragged culinary (not to say weird) edge! Ana has lived in Romania, Spain and Italy and speaks the languages but says nothing sensible in any of them. André speaks some pretty poor French with an accent that noticeably improves after a couple of glasses of wine. We look forward to welcoming you to The Water's Edge.
