Jim & Fiona Wood welcome you to Thornbank House. Our well furnished and decorated B&B, in the southwest of Scotland. We can offer our guests two deluxe en-suite, bedroom offering comfortable accommodation. You are assured of a warm welcome at Thornbank House. Thornbank House is situated to explore the beautiful Rhins of Galloway and the surrounding region. Not for nothing is Galloway known as 'Scotland In Miniature'! We have our own glens, lochs, beautiful coastline, intriguing forest trails, golfing galore, pony trekking, mountain biking, sea angling and more! Thornbank is located a two min drive to the town center or a ten min walk along the sea front. Scenic walks can be taken in the local area and day trips to belfast are made easier by the frequent ferries which sail from Cairnryan, a ten minute drive from Stranraer. Overlooking the sea the bright and airy rooms have en-suite bathrooms one with jacuzzi bath and separate shower and the other with a luxury steam shower cabnet. There is complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities, large flat screen tv with free sat and free wireless internet. Pool towels and robes are provided for the swimming pool.
We have been in the hospitality trade now for 10 years and love to welcome guest old and new with the warmest of welcome .
Thornbank is set overlooking the sea in a very quiet and tranquil surrounding .Stranraer town center is only two mins drive or a 10 min walk along the sea front .
