Thorshaven Apartment is run by Gina and Nick, Gina inherited the Apartment which has been in the family for many generations, together they own The Murray Arms Hotel and Seafood Restaurant next door which serves fresh seafood daily during the summer season. The Apartment is the perfect place to discover the Island and sample the freshest Seafood available. It is worth noting that the apartment has 12 steps upto the front door, so is not suitable for wheelchair access. There is ample parking outside the property on the street. We do allow dogs, however we do ask that you keep your fur babies off the furniture. The X1 public bus runs right outside the property from St Margaret's Hope upto Stromness almost every hour during the day. We would advise that you travel to Orkney using Pentland Ferries if booking here as the ferry arrives 2 minutes away from the Apartment. The property will be unlocked on your arrival with the keys on the kitchen table.
Gina and Nick are always at hand in the Hotel next door and are more than happy to advise you of the fantastic sites and scenery around Orkney.
Thorshaven Apartment is in the heart of the village you will find the local pub next door where you can sample the many Orkney produced ales, gins and whisky, as well as the freshest Seafood in Orkney at The Murray Arms Hotel and Seafood Restaurant. you will also find a 9 hole golf course, bowling green, tennis courts, fitness suite, shops, Post Office, and plenty of fantastic scenic walks. There is a pebble beach across the road. The X1 bus runs every hour to Kirkwall and Stromness right outside the door.
