Traditional house in quiet suburb with modern amenities and décor, with a king, double, single and double sofa bed. You will see more bikes on the road than cars. With an enclosed front and rear garden with seating area, elevated views to Ben Nevis and the River Lochy walk by the moorland. Jacobite steam train (Harry Potter train) is across the road from the property, with a pedestrian bridge for great photos. Country walks and bikes from the door. Aldi, M and S and the Highland Soap Company are 5 minutes walk. On the edge of Fort William its a 10min walk to the High St and 5min walk to nearest bar, restaurant, supermarkets. Bike hire and takeaway nearby. An amazing location for your Highland trip straight from the door.
I am a local mountaineering instructor in Fort William taking people walking and climbing around Glencoe and Ben Nevis as my day job. The house has a flavour to the outdoors with maps and photos for adventure planning. It is a great location for guests to use the property for adventures in the outdoors, there is bike storage in the back garden and places to hang wet kit on the washing lines.
On the edge of Fort William the property is on a very quite street that leads directly onto a cycle and walk route to old Inverlcohy castle, River Lochy walk, the Great Glen Way, Highland Soap Company and Ben Nevis Distillery. In the other direction is around 10-15minute walk or short bike on quite back roads into Fort William High Street with shops, pubs and restaurants. Further afield is the start to the Ben Nevis walk around 1.5km away, Neptune's staircase on the Great Glen Canal, 5km, Glenfinnan monument and viaduct 20km away, Nevis range gondola and ski area, 7km away. Glencoe is around 40minute drive with walking and sightseeing and the Corran ferry link is 20 minute drive. The ferry port from Mallaig is about 50 minutes drive.
