*** Please Note: July to September bookings are Saturday to Saturday only. We cannot accept bookings for check-ins on any other days of the week *** ** Christmas is a minimum 4 night stay (to inc Xmas day), Bank Holidays 3, rest of the year 2, ** An Idyllic, Charming, Peaceful cottage - Perfect! Sitting in an elevated position with far reaching views, parts of the cottage date back 450 years and benefits from a quiet spacious lounge, a separate dining room, 2 generous sized bedroom, a family bathroom with a bath/shower and a fully equipped kitchen leading on to a large, terraced, private & secure garden with various seating areas. We believe we have created a calm, tastefully furnished and decorated space for our guests to enjoy and relax in. Our cottage is cool in the heat of summer and cozy in the winter with its log burner and full central heating. Off road free parking is adjacent to the property, with space for 2 standard family saloon cars. We are dog friendly with basic K9 House Rules, no dogs upstairs or on the furniture and a maximum of 2 pets allowed. All doggie deposits to be removed from the garden and immediate access areas. Unfortunately, due to the age and layout of the cottage and garden, our property is not suitable for guests with mobility needs.
I have lived in Cornwall for 17 years and love the beauty of the area. During my time here I have spent many years working in hospitality and my husband also has experience, as we previously owned a B & B. I am committed to providing the best holiday let stay that I possibly can to make it a lovely experience for our guests. I take great pride in the cleanliness and style of our cottage, and hope it provides a comfortable and peaceful stay for all. We like our guests to feel right at home during their stay. I live with my husband, who worked tirelessly on renovating the cottage during our time living there. He also designed and maintains the garden to make it the beautiful area that it is today. Our two mad Border Collies have tried and tested the security of the garden to the best of their ability, so you can have no qualms about bringing any dogs with you and them being safely enclosed. We are not far away from the property and we are on hand if needed. I enjoy communicating with our guests and am willing to answer any of their queries to the best of my knowledge. Guests can always email me or message via text or messenger; our contact details are in the Welcome Book.
Trelake Cottage is in an ideal spot for all travellers and walkers alike and set in the quiet Hamlet of Treknow, on the outskirts of Tintagel, which is approximately 1.3 miles to the centre. Within walking distance of Trebarwith Strand (tidal beach), the South West Coastal Path & Tintagel it is in a convenient location to access many of Cornwalls' famous attractions. Close by, nestled in the bottom of the valley, you will find The Mill House Inn for fine dining and a little further sitting on the cliffs overlooking the sea, is the Port William. More pubs, cafes and a selection of shops can be found in Tintagel. Boscastle is a short drive away, with its historic Harbour. This part of the coast is rugged and beautiful. There are many dog friendly beaches close by, to the north, Daymar Bay, Rock and Polzeath. Padstow sits opposite Rock on the estuary and if you are prepared to walk a little way you will find more stunning beaches and coves, To the south there is Crackington Haven, Black Rock, Widemouth Bay and Bude, with it sea pool. There is so much to see and do in this area you will never be bored or run out of ideas.
