Sandy Lane is a community of around 250 dwellings near Llanelli. Originally built as an area of holiday cottages for residents of Swansea at the start of the 20th century, many of the houses were winterised during the Second World War providing permanent homes for people who needed to escape from bombing. Now the area has an eclectic mix of timber frame chalets, some Scandinavian in style.
