Pigeon House is a newly renovated Grade II listed Victorian barn in Shropshire, located just 5 miles from the medieval town of Shrewsbury. Featuring 2 en-suite bedrooms, a stunning living space with a wood burner for cosy nights in, and a private enclosed garden with a hot tub. Previously housing cows, with a ‘pigeon house’ on top, the property has been lovingly restored show casing original features, and providing all you need to enjoy a relaxing break in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

We moved back to Elaines family home in Shropshire, after 20 years of living in Birmingham’s vibrant Jewellery Quarter. After living in noise & bustle for so long, we’re loving country life in beautiful Shropshire. The Pigeon House is a fabulous space with a private garden. It’s conveniently located close to our farmhouse which means we’re available and happy to help if guests have any queries or concerns. The farmhouse was my (Elaine’s) family home from which my mum and dad ran their dairy and arable farm. After living away for 20 years it has been wonderful to come home and convert the Pigeon House from a cow home where I fondly remember my mum feeding calves, to a beautiful home from home for our guests. We’ve done a lot of travelling over the years and we’re excited to welcome guests and provide them with the things we love when we’re away.

Pigeon House is located in the village of Longden, just 5 miles from the beautiful medieval market town of Shrewsbury, which is jammed full of independent shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries and bars, a must for a visit when you stay with us. It’s the perfect location for exploring the beautiful county of Shropshire. With the Shropshire Way, the Shropshire Hills, the Long Mynd, Carding Mill Valley and Stiperstones and lots of public footpaths and walking routes all close if you enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. The main road through our village part of the National Cycle Route network. There is a great shop in the village and a pub (not open every day), both within walking distance of the Pigeon House. There are plenty of other pubs and places to eat just a short drive away in neighbouring villages and Shrewsbury. You shouldn’t miss Church Stretton, Ludlow and Bishops Castle while you’re with us. All just a short drive away. Guests can enjoy private parking for 2 vehicles within the boundaries of the Pigeon House Our closest train station is Shrewsbury Station.
