'A rather special place to stay, A country House in Town' Uphill Manor, "one of the most unusual urban properties in the country” as it has been variously described. In the heart of the village of Uphill, 5 minutes walk to the beach and golf course and 20 minutes walk from town. The Manor sits in a totally private location with 18 acres, comprising of lawns with many mature trees, ancient woodlands and fields, with several ponies. There is even a Victorian walled garden (can be viewed by request) with chickens and ducks! At the bottom of the garden there are several beehives producing delicious honey. At the front of the house, overlooking the manicured lawn and woodlands beyond, is a large open patio adjoining the dining room, as well as a covered furnished area.

We, Tina & Craig (owners) together with our two daughters, look after this property and do everything we can to ensure our guests have what they need for a relaxing and enjoyable experience here. We live in a wing of the property with our own entrance (formerly the servants quarters) and are readily contactable to provide assistance. Our daughters live in separate properties in the woodland of the estate. We appreciate that our guests like complete privacy so the lawns are for you to enjoy throughout your stay. That said, we are on hand should you have any questions, need advice on where to eat, or if you would like a tour around the walled garden, feed the chickens with the children or put your wellies on to go into the paddock to see the ducks or ponies! Uphill Manor is also available on a Bed & Breakfast basis under a separate listing.

Uphill Manor truly is a unique place. Nestled in its own country side in Uphill Village, in North Somerset. Not only do you have a beach on the doorstep, Brean beach and Sandbay beach are nearby too. The Grand Pier, Helicopter museum, Cheddar Gorge caves all easily accessible as well as Clevedon, Portishead, Bristol, Bath, Wells all great for a day trip. Go horse riding on the Mendips or walk the 11 mile Srawberry line, this venue is ideally situated for exploring alot of the West country!
