Upper Mead is a stunning house, one of a pair set on the hillside just above the seaside village of Amroth, with the most marvellous views out to sea over Carmarthen Bay. Refurbished to a high standard with wooden floors, it is stylishly and comfortably furnished with a seaside theme to reflect its coastal location. The modern fitted kitchen/diner is well-equipped for preparing and enjoying family meals, while you admire the sea views. Bi-fold doors open up the dining room to a paved patio with 2 steps down to the lawn, all enclosed. An ideal spot to enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer’s evening with views over the roof tops as far as Worms Head on the Gower on a clear day and Monkstone Point and Caldey Island - stunning! The spacious sitting room with large comfy sofas has a wood burning stove to ensure a cosy feel on the chilliest of evenings. Stairs lead up from the sitting room to the bedrooms above, all with sea and valley views. A short downhill walk takes you to the wonderful long Amroth beach, here you can join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, to explore the wonderful coastline on your doorstep. The miles of sandy beach make it ideal for boating and water sport enthusiasts. There are several pubs and cafes on the seafront for you to try, or over the headland is Wisemans Bridge, enjoy a meal in the beachside pub to refresh you, ready for the return journey. There is also another excellent restaurant, Coast, on the next beach - Coppet Hall, accessed via a coastal walk through the tunnels, with a further selection of pubs, restaurants and shops to explore in the bustling village of Saundersfoot. The medieval walled town of Tenby with its pretty cobbled streets and picturesque harbour is well worth a visit, from here you can take a boat trip to the monastic Caldey Island.
