Located at the water's edge with private access to the shore, Waterside Cottage has 4 bedrooms (3 with sea views), 3 bathrooms, kitchen,lounge/diner and conservatory and is decorated with a mixture of carefully chosen antiques and more contemporary items. Wifi, a piano, wood burning stove, books, games and DVDs and luxurious Arran Aromatic toiletries are a few of the more personal touches guests can enjoy. The cottage is ideally suited to families and friends alike and up to two well behaved dogs can be accepted by arrangement.Accommodation includes one King size double, one Twin (or Superking), one Double ensuite (ground floor) and one Double. All bedrooms have their own washbasins. There are two additional bathrooms (one with bath, one with shower), both with underfloor heating. The garden which has outdoor seating, is on the edge of the sea and guests can walk out to the island and enjoy the spectacular views of Pabay and Scalpay and the mountains to the East. As well as enjoying superb views, the property is located within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Broadford and is a perfect base to explore Skye and Lochalsh.

We fell in love with Waterside Cottage when we moved to the island in 2011. After many happy hours spent revealing stone walls, reviving wooden floors and carefully choosing a mixture of antique, vintage and modern furnishings which we felt suited the character of this wonderful house, we welcomed our first guests in May 2012. The family friendly Hebridean Hotel is around 2 minutes walk away and the shops and cafes of Broadford are within 1 mile. You can walk onto the shore from the garden or just watch the birdlife (greylag geese, herons, ringed plovers, oyster catchers, curlews, shelducks, widgeon, sandpipers) from the window. David and I love travelling and exploring as well as hiking and cycling and we are always happy to share travel ideas and suggestions of what to do with our guests.

Broadford is the second largest village on Skye and has a good range of amenities including a supermarket, chemist, bank, post office, gift shops and lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. It makes an excellent base to explore the whole of Skye and the lovely villages of Plockton, Glenelg and Dornie on the mainland.
