Petal & Barley are hosting Wavecrest Cottage. Our characterful cottage sits on the edge of Flamborough Village and is just minutes from the sea and the towering chalky cliffs of North Landing. Depending upon the time of year you’ll find a magical array of wildlife to enjoy locally. Petal & Barley offer this cosy yet spacious cottage which boasts an open fire for those cosy winter breaks or for summer stays, a large enclosed outdoor space with BBQ and Covered hot-tub. Our cottage welcomes your furry friends and is perfect for families and couples alike. Prior to your arrival at the cottage you will pass through Flamborough Village where you will find everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Jess and her team at the Rose & Crown will welcome you for quiz nights, open mike and live entertainment. You can also stock up on supplies at the Coop or the local butchers for your BBQ grub. We highly recommend The Ship Inn for Sunday Carvery although early booking is advised and is a must for those doggie friendly seats. The Village has a traditional seaside feel with many houses stacked with lobster pots and East Coast shellfish selling the catch of the day which can be ordered and delivered to the cottage for your arrival. Our cottage is pure luxury and is the perfect retreat just minutes from the sea and perfect for exploring the Yorkshire coast or visiting the traditional sea side resorts of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey. Wavecrest is the cottage that just keeps on giving. On entering you’ll be surprised at its spacious yet homely feel. With a modern kitchen and a well put together assortment of traditional and modern furnishings the space is truly amazing. Boasting three bedrooms, two of which are twin or super-king and a cosy double Wavecrest sleeps 8 guests. We have a luxury sofa bed in a private lounge downstairs and a master bedroom with a freestanding bath and luxury rainfall shower. Our fully equipped kitchen will not disappoint, with a washer, dishwasher and drier for your convenience. Boasting two well-furnished cosy living areas and a dining space your party can enjoy precious time together or a space to relax alone. Our outdoor space is perfect for entertaining with a state of the art hot tub where the parents can relax whilst the kids are enjoying the games room which is stacked with games for the whole family , a pool /air hockey table as well as ping pong and a PS4. Wavecrest is located just 10 minutes from the wonderful sea side resort of Bridlington where you can access funfairs, amusement arcades & traditional seaside attractions. Tucked away from this Flamborough has a rural feel so is quiet in comparison however you will find lots to do and see in the local area. Both North Landing & South Landing beach are doggie friendly and are within walking distance of the cottage. You can visit Britain’s oldest lighthouse and take on a round of golf without even leaving the area. Within the village and all within a walk from the cottage you will find various café bars, pubs and eateries all offering a warm doggie friendly welcome. The cottage itself is a fully refurbished and modernised 1920’s Fisherman’s cottage. In keeping with this we have beautifully restored the old beams and have created a feature in our shower with a listed window creating a beautiful natural light.
